The village boasts an outdoor swimming pool as well as the famous waterfalls walk. The area is noted for its outstanding walks which include the Three Peaks of Yorkshire as well as its many limestone pavements. Caves are abundant in the area, including the show caves of White Scar and Clapham. 
The Settle to Carlisle Railway- a line steeped in history, is accessible via the station at Ribblehead, which is only a 10minute drive away.
The Lake District, Leeds and York are around an hour's drive.
